MELBOURNE BEACH

Affluent Melbourne Beach is historic (said to have been discovered by Ponce d Leon).

Sedate, with beautiful beachs though you will not without its share of activities and attraction, its pier is listed on the U.S. National Register of historic places and its bright old pink house now is a much-favored bed and breakfast know as Port d’ Hiver.  Ocean Park Beach is Brevard county’s oldest beach community, Ocean Park is Melbourne Beach’s main surf break and home to the office of Eastern Surf Magazine. Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge a twenty-mile section of coastline from Melbourne Beach to Wabasso Beach. Biologists consider it the most important nesting area for Loggerhead Sea turtles in the western hemisphere and the second most important nesting beach in the world.
