EAU GALLIE

Eau Gallie (pronounced "Oh Galley") is a small community nestled against the Indian River.

For over 100 years this community has thrived and grown and continues to define itself. Eau Gallie comes from the French and Indian words meaning "rocky water," named for the coquina rocks along the shore of the Indian River Lagoon.

A leisurely stroll through our historic community is a great way to see many beautifully restored buildings and historical sites that dot the area. The community continues its historic tradition by sponsoring an eclectic mix of local events, which consistently draw people from many parts of Florida and the world. The best that Florida has to offer can be found in Eau Gallie, with its great fishing, boating, restaurants, museums, antique and art stores - all within walking distance.
