Cocoa Beach is located on a barrier island, and it has six miles of ocean beachfront running the entire length of its city limits.

It is approximately one mile wide and bounds the Indian River Lagoon to the west. Known as the "surfing capital of the East Coast,” and home to world class champion surfer Kelly Slater and Ron Jon’s surf shop with 2 major surfing festivals plus the Space Coast Art Show. Along with Cocoa Beach Country Club a public golf course , tons of restaurants, well-maintained parks and public facilities, showcasing and protecting our environment and its wildlife and in sharing the quality of life that comes from excellent schools.
